There are article on everything from choosing a topic, writing an outline to getting past that much-dreaded condition called "Writer's Block."
In order to learn how to write from start to finish, we'll be taking advice from the experts: Ken Evoy and Monique Harris, two individuals who have written many self-published ebooks and successfully sold them on the web. This guide which is no longer available for sale is what I followed to write and publish my first book.
The lessons below will help you understand the process to write books whether your ultimate goal is to create an electronic book, a version for a device (like an iPad, Kindle or other tablet computer) or you want something that you can hold in your hands, hand out to friends and family and sell in bookstores across America. Obviously, today, makes sense to do both.
Before we start, you might want to read my article on Writing an EBook FAQs - which gives answers to the four most common questions that I get from aspiring authors. If you have questions of your own, you can ask them using the comments box below the article. Before sending in a question, make sure to use the search feature on this site to make sure that it isn't a topic that I've already written about. This will save time for both of us, especially since I can't spend time answering questions that I have answered in the past and archived on this site.
After reading the FAQs, come back and browse the topics below to find out what you need to know to get started writing your first book. It's an exciting journey and I'll be here with you each step of the way.
For those who need more structure, you can take my 6-week Writing Ebook Course which is much more in-depth and takes you step by step through the process of coming up with a topic, doing the research, making sure there is a market for your book, writing the outline, completing the book and getting it ready for publication.
