Publishing Childrens Books Made Simple

The process of self publishing a children's book just became much simpler. Outskirt Press offers a full color publishing package that allows children's book authors to easily and inexpensively get their books in print.

In the past, it was tough for an author to self publish a picture book. First you had to find the right illustrator who could translate your words into pictures, negotiate author-illustrator rights and then foot the bill for the entire project. About four years ago, I wrote a children's book and when I found how much the illustrator wanted for each illustration, plus a shared percentage of the profits even though I had to pay for everything up front, I decided to shelve the project for awhile.

But now, with this new childrens book publishing package, the hurdles to publishing a picture book have been removed. I'm very excited to have found a way to get my book in print.
